How to Cancel a Service

If you no longer need a Unisolva service, you can submit a cancellation request through the client portal. This article explains the cancellation process, what happens to your data, and important steps to take before cancelling.

Before You Cancel - Important Steps

Once a service is cancelled and terminated, your data may be permanently deleted. Complete these steps before submitting a cancellation:

For hosting accounts

  • Download a full backup of your website files from cPanel > Backup
  • Export your databases from phpMyAdmin (cPanel > phpMyAdmin > select database > Export)
  • Download any emails you want to keep from your cPanel mailboxes via webmail or your email client
  • Note down any DNS records or custom configurations you may need to replicate elsewhere

For email hosting accounts

  • Export contacts and calendars from OX App Suite, Google Workspace, or Microsoft 365 before cancellation
  • Download or forward any important emails to a personal account
  • Inform your team of the cancellation timeline so they can transition their email access

❗ Important

After a service is terminated, Unisolva cannot recover your data.

Always download your backups BEFORE requesting cancellation.

Do not assume your data will be available for recovery after the termination date.

How to Submit a Cancellation Request

  1. Log in to my.unisolva.com
  2. Go to Services > My Services
  3. Click on the service you want to cancel
  4. Click Request Cancellation (this option may be under Management Options)
  5. Select the cancellation type:
    • Immediate - the service is terminated as soon as the cancellation is processed. Use this if you want to stop being charged immediately.
    • End of Billing Period - the service remains active until the current billing period ends. Use this if you have already paid for the remaining period and want to use the service until it expires.
  6. Enter a reason for cancellation (optional but helpful for the team to improve service)
  7. Click Request Cancellation to submit

???? Note

You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation request is received.

The billing team may reach out to assist or offer an alternative solution before

processing the cancellation.

What Happens After Cancellation

Immediate cancellation

  • The service is deactivated promptly after the request is processed
  • Your website goes offline, email stops working, and cPanel access is removed
  • Any unused prepaid time is reviewed for a pro-rated refund (see: How to Request a Refund)

End of billing period cancellation

  • The service continues working normally until the end of the current paid period
  • No further invoices are generated after the cancellation is confirmed
  • On the expiry date, the service is deactivated

Reactivating a Cancelled Service

If you change your mind after submitting a cancellation request but before the service is terminated, contact support immediately at my.unisolva.com > Support > Open Ticket to cancel the cancellation request.

If the service has already been terminated, reactivation may be possible within a short window - however, data restoration is not guaranteed. Contact support as soon as possible.

???? Tip

If you are cancelling because of a specific issue (performance, price, or a feature gap),

reach out to support before cancelling. Many issues can be resolved quickly,

and the team may be able to offer solutions or adjustments to keep your services running smoothly.
