How to Upgrade or Downgrade Your Hosting Plan
You can change your Unisolva hosting plan at any time from the client portal. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged on a pro-rated basis - you only pay the difference. This article explains how to upgrade or downgrade and what to expect during the process.
Available Hosting Plans
- Starter - 10 GB NVMe / 500 GB bandwidth / 1 domain - $99.95/year
- Standard - 25 GB NVMe / 1 TB bandwidth / 3 domains - $149.95/year
- Business - 50 GB NVMe / 2 TB bandwidth / 5 domains - $199.95/year
How to Upgrade Your Plan
- Log in to my.unisolva.com
- Go to Services > My Services
- Click on your current hosting plan
- Click Upgrade/Downgrade Options (or Management Options > Upgrade)
- Select the new plan you want to move to
- Review the pro-rated upgrade cost - this is the price difference between your current plan and the new plan for the remaining days in your billing cycle
- Confirm and complete the payment
- Your hosting account is upgraded immediately - increased storage and domain limits are available right away

How to Downgrade Your Plan
- Log in to my.unisolva.com
- Go to Services > My Services and click on your hosting plan
- Click Upgrade/Downgrade Options
- Select a lower-tier plan
- Review the change - a downgrade credit may be applied to your account for the remaining days on the higher plan
- Confirm the downgrade

❗ Important Before downgrading, verify that your current usage fits within the new plan's limits: - Disk usage must be below the new plan's storage cap - Domains must be within the new plan's domain limit Exceeding the lower plan's limits after downgrading may cause services to stop working. Check your current disk and domain usage in cPanel before proceeding. |
What is Pro-Rated Billing?
When you upgrade mid-cycle, you are only charged for the time remaining on your billing cycle at the higher plan's rate. For example:
- You are on the Starter plan at $99.95/year, with 6 months remaining
- You upgrade to Standard ($149.95/year)
- The price difference is $50.00/year, so you pay approximately $25.00 for the remaining 6 months
- At your next annual renewal, you are billed the full Standard plan price of $149.95
Changing Your Billing Term (Annual vs. Multi-Year)
If you want to switch from an annual plan to a 2-year or 3-year plan to take advantage of multi-year discounts, contact the Unisolva support team at my.unisolva.com. The billing team can apply the appropriate discount and adjust your renewal term.
Verify It Worked
- In cPanel > Statistics panel, the new disk space and bandwidth limits are reflected
- In my.unisolva.com > Services, the updated plan name is shown next to your service
- An invoice for the pro-rated upgrade charge appears in Billing > My Invoices
