Getting Started with Microsoft 365 on Unisolva

Microsoft 365 provides your team with professional Outlook email on your business domain, plus Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Unisolva resells Microsoft 365 at retail pricing with a minimum of 3 users on an annual plan.

Prerequisites

  • An active Microsoft 365 subscription ordered through Unisolva (minimum 3 users, annual billing)
  • A domain registered with or pointed to Unisolva
  • Access to your domain's DNS records (Unisolva will configure these for you)

Step 1 — Order Microsoft 365 through Unisolva

  1. Log in to my.unisolva.com
  2. Go to Services > Order New Services and select Microsoft 365
  3. Choose your plan and enter the number of users (minimum 3)
  4. Complete the order — Unisolva will provision your Microsoft 365 tenancy and email you the admin credentials

Step 2 — Access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center

  1. Go to admin.microsoft.com in your browser
  2. Sign in with the global administrator credentials provided by Unisolva
  3. The Microsoft 365 Admin Center opens — manage users, licenses, and services from here

Step 3 — Add and Assign Users

  1. In the Admin Center, go to Users > Active Users
  2. Click Add a User
  3. Enter the user's name, username (e.g. [email protected]), and assign a Microsoft 365 license
  4. Set a temporary password and click Finish adding
  5. Send the temporary password to the new user — they will be prompted to change it on first login

???? Tip

Each user needs a license assigned to access Microsoft 365 apps and their mailbox.

You can manage license assignments from Users > Active Users > select a user > Licenses and Apps.

Step 4 — Connect Your Domain and Configure DNS

Microsoft 365 requires DNS records to route email and verify your domain:

  1. In the Admin Center, go to Settings > Domains
  2. Click Add Domain and enter your domain name
  3. Microsoft will provide a list of DNS records to add (MX, TXT for verification, CNAME for Autodiscover, SPF, DKIM)
  4. Open a support ticket at my.unisolva.com and provide these records — Unisolva will add them to your domain DNS zone
  5. Once DNS propagates (15 minutes to a few hours), return to the Admin Center and click Verify

⚠️ Warning

Once you switch your domain's MX records to Microsoft, all email for your domain will

route to Microsoft 365. Ensure all users are set up in Microsoft before making the switch

to avoid missing incoming emails during migration.

Step 5 — Access Outlook Webmail (OWA)

  1. Go to outlook.office365.com in your browser
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft 365 email and password
  3. Outlook Web App (OWA) opens with your full business email inbox

Step 6 — Set Up Outlook Desktop App

  1. Open the Outlook desktop app (included with Microsoft 365 plans that include desktop apps)
  2. Go to File > Add Account
  3. Enter your Microsoft 365 email address and click Connect
  4. Follow the sign-in prompts — Outlook will auto-configure using Microsoft's Autodiscover service
  5. Click Done — your mailbox syncs automatically

Step 7 — Set Up Microsoft Teams

  1. Download Microsoft Teams from teams.microsoft.com or from the Microsoft 365 portal
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft 365 credentials
  3. Teams is ready — create channels, start chats, and schedule video meetings

Verify It Worked

  • Admin can log in to admin.microsoft.com and see all licensed users
  • Each user can log in to Outlook at outlook.office365.com
  • Sending a test email between two users delivers successfully
  • Teams is accessible and users can chat and create channels
