Getting Started with Google Workspace on Unisolva

Google Workspace gives your team professional Gmail with your business domain (e.g. [email protected]), plus Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, and the full suite of Google productivity tools. Unisolva sells Google Workspace at below-retail pricing, with a minimum of 3 seats on an annual plan.

Prerequisites

  • An active Google Workspace subscription ordered through Unisolva (minimum 3 users, annual billing)
  • A domain registered with or pointed to Unisolva
  • Access to your domain's DNS records (Unisolva can configure this for you)

Step 1 — Order Google Workspace through Unisolva

  1. Log in to my.unisolva.com
  2. Go to Services > Order New Services and select Google Workspace
  3. Choose your plan: Business Starter ($5.50/user/month year 1, $6.50 renewal) or Business Standard ($14.00/user/month)
  4. Enter the number of users (minimum 3) and complete the order
  5. Unisolva will provision your Google Workspace account and email you the admin credentials — typically within 24 hours

Step 2 — Access the Google Admin Console

  1. Go to admin.google.com in your browser
  2. Sign in with the admin email and password provided by Unisolva
  3. The Google Admin Console opens — this is where you manage users, billing, settings, and security for your organization

Step 3 — Add Users

  1. In the Admin Console, click Directory > Users
  2. Click Add New User
  3. Enter the user's first name, last name, and the email address you want to create (e.g. [email protected])
  4. Google will generate a temporary password — share it with the new user
  5. Repeat for all users in your organization

???? Tip

Users receive a welcome email prompting them to set their own password on first login.

Encourage all users to enable 2-Step Verification in their Google Account security settings.

Step 4 — Verify Your Domain and Configure DNS

Google requires you to verify ownership of your domain by adding DNS records. Unisolva can handle this for you:

  1. In the Admin Console, follow the Setup Wizard — it will show you the DNS records to add
  2. Open a support ticket at my.unisolva.com with the DNS records and Unisolva will add them to your domain's zone
  3. DNS propagation typically takes 15 minutes to a few hours
  4. Once verified, Google will activate Gmail and all Workspace services for your domain

???? Note

The key DNS records Google requires are: an MX record (routes email to Google's servers),

a TXT record (domain verification), and optionally SPF/DKIM records for email authentication.

Unisolva will configure all of these when setting up your Google Workspace account.

Step 5 — Access Gmail

  1. Go to mail.google.com in your browser
  2. Sign in with your Google Workspace email and password
  3. Gmail opens with your professional domain email (e.g. [email protected])

Step 6 — Connect Gmail to Outlook or Apple Mail

If your team prefers using a desktop email client instead of Gmail in the browser:

  • In Outlook: File > Add Account > enter your Google Workspace email > follow the OAuth sign-in flow
  • In Apple Mail: System Settings > Internet Accounts > Google > sign in with your Workspace account
  • Both apps support OAuth — no manual IMAP/SMTP settings required for Google Workspace

Adding More Users Later

  1. Log in to my.unisolva.com and open a support ticket requesting additional Google Workspace seats
  2. Specify the number of new seats needed
  3. Additional seats are billed at the current renewal price ($6.50/user/month for Business Starter)

Verify It Worked

  • Admin can log in to admin.google.com and see all users listed
  • Each user can log in to Gmail at mail.google.com with their @yourdomain.com address
  • Sending a test email between two users in the organization delivers successfully
