How to Register a New Domain with Unisolva
Unisolva offers domain registration through two accredited registrars — Resell.biz and NameSilo — giving you access to a wide range of TLDs (Top-Level Domains) including .com, .net, .org, .io, .co, and many country-code extensions. This article walks you through registering a new domain through the client portal.
Before You Register
- Domain names are registered on a first-come, first-served basis — if a name is available now, register it promptly
- Domain registration is separate from hosting — you can register a domain without purchasing hosting, and vice versa
- Domains are non-refundable once registered, so choose carefully
|
???? Tip Use a .com for maximum global recognition and trust. If .com is taken, consider .net, .co, or a country-code TLD relevant to your market (e.g. .ae for UAE, .sa for Saudi Arabia). |
How to Register a Domain
- Log in to my.unisolva.com
- Click Domains in the top navigation menu, then select Register a New Domain
- Type the domain name you want in the search box (e.g. "mybusiness") and click Search
- The results page shows whether your desired domain is available, along with alternative suggestions and pricing for different TLDs
- Click Add to Cart next to the domain you want
- Select the registration period (1 year, 2 years, or longer — longer terms lock in the current price)
- Review your cart and click Checkout
- Confirm your contact/WHOIS information — this is the registrant data associated with the domain
- Complete payment — your domain is registered immediately upon successful payment
|
???? Note You will receive a confirmation email with your domain registration details. Your domain is now registered but not yet pointing to any server. See: How to Connect Your Domain to Unisolva Hosting to point it to your website. |
WHOIS Information and Privacy
When you register a domain, your contact information (name, email, address) is stored in the WHOIS public database by default. Unisolva provides WHOIS privacy protection options to mask your personal details from public view — look for the Privacy Protection option during registration or contact support to enable it on an existing domain.
Renewing a Domain
- Log in to my.unisolva.com
- Go to Domains > My Domains
- Find the domain approaching expiry and click Renew
- Select the renewal period and complete the payment
|
❗ Important A domain that expires is placed in a redemption period for 30 days after expiry, during which recovery fees apply. After the redemption period it is released back to the public and anyone can register it. Always renew before the expiry date. Enable auto-renewal in my.unisolva.com > Domains > My Domains to avoid accidental expiry. |
Managing Your Domains
From my.unisolva.com > Domains > My Domains you can:
- View all registered domains and their expiry dates
- Enable or disable auto-renewal per domain
- Update WHOIS/contact information
- Manage nameservers (where the domain points for DNS)
- Initiate a domain transfer to another registrar
- Lock or unlock the domain (EPP lock prevents unauthorized transfers)
