How to Create and Manage Email Accounts in cPanel

Every Unisolva hosting plan includes unlimited email accounts tied to your domain (e.g. [email protected], [email protected]). You can create and manage these accounts directly from cPanel. This article covers creating accounts, setting storage quotas, accessing webmail, and connecting to email clients.

???? Note

This article covers cPanel-hosted email accounts (mailboxes on your hosting plan).

If you are looking for professional email with larger storage, collaboration tools, or

Google or Microsoft integration, see the Email Hosting category for guides on

Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and OX App Suite.

Prerequisites

  • An active Unisolva hosting account
  • A domain connected to your hosting (e.g. yourdomain.com)

Creating an Email Account

  1. Log in to cPanel at yourdomain.com/cpanel
  2. In the Email section, click Email Accounts
  3. Click the Create button (top right)
  4. Fill in the details:
    • Domain: select your domain from the dropdown
    • Username: enter the part before the @ (e.g. "info" for [email protected])
    • Password: enter a strong password or click Generate to create one automatically
    • Storage Space: set a mailbox size limit in MB — or choose Unlimited
  5. Click Create — the new email account is ready immediately

???? Tip

Use a strong, unique password for each email account. Email accounts with weak

passwords are a common target for spam and phishing attacks.

Accessing Your Email

Option 1 — Webmail (no setup required)

  1. Open your browser and go to: yourdomain.com/webmail
  2. Enter your full email address (e.g. [email protected]) and password
  3. Click Log In — you will see the available webmail apps (Roundcube is recommended)
  4. Click Roundcube to open your inbox

???? Tip

Webmail works on any device, any browser — no configuration needed. It is the fastest

way to check email without setting up an email client.

Option 2 — Connect to an Email Client (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.)

Use these server settings to connect your preferred email app:

a pre-configured profile for your device.

Changing an Email Password

  1. In cPanel, go to Email > Email Accounts
  2. Find the email account and click Manage
  3. Scroll to Security and enter a new password (or click Generate)
  4. Click Update Email Settings — the new password takes effect immediately

Setting Up Email Forwarders

Forward all emails from one address to another (e.g. forward [email protected] to your Gmail):

  1. In cPanel, go to Email > Forwarders
  2. Click Add Forwarder
  3. Enter the address to forward from and the destination address
  4. Click Add Forwarder to save

Deleting an Email Account

  1. In cPanel, go to Email > Email Accounts
  2. Find the account and click Manage
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Email Account
  4. Confirm the deletion

⚠️ Warning

Deleting an email account permanently removes all emails stored in that mailbox.

There is no way to recover emails after deletion. Download any important emails first.
