What Happens During a Restore (Downtime & Risks)

   1. During a restore, your website/app may be partially or fully unavailable.

2. Overwrite behavior

   1. The restore usually replaces current production content with the snapshot content.

3. Data loss risk

   1. Any changes made after the restore point can be lost (posts, orders, uploads, emails, etc.).

4. Plan the timing

   1. Choose low-traffic hours when possible.

   2. For ERP, coordinate around business rush hours.

5. Your safety step

   1. If you want the current state preserved, take your own pre-restore backup before requesting.

6. After restore

   1. You should verify key functions immediately (see the verification checklist article).
